E.ON SE reported an adjusted Group net income of €1.9 billion for the first half of 2026. This figure represents a 5% increase compared to the prior-year period. Adjusted EBITDA rose 1% to reach €5.4 billion, driven by investments in regulated energy networks and infrastructure. The company confirmed its full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance of €9.4 to €9.6 billion.
Despite the growth, E.ON shares fell 2.84% in pre-market trading. Investors cited rising financing costs and increased net debt as primary concerns.
During the results presentation, CEO Leonhard Birnbaum warned of potential drone attacks on energy infrastructure. He called for improved protection measures to secure the company's assets.
