Frontier Power USA (FPUSA) acquired a 480 MWh portfolio of battery energy storage projects from Bimergen Energy Corporation.
FPUSA is a joint venture between Eos Energy Enterprises and Cerberus Capital Management. This transaction marks the first deployment under a previously announced 2 GWh capacity reservation agreement with Eos.
The acquired portfolio consists of three ERCOT-based projects in Texas. These include two Texas 10 projects and a single 400 MWh project.
All systems will utilize Eos’s American-made Z3 long-duration zinc battery technology. This agreement provides Eos with dedicated manufacturing deployment for its domestic battery systems.
