Elbit Systems is expanding its workforce by 4,000 employees through 2026. The company already recruited 2,000 of these workers during the first half of the year. CEO Bezalel Machlis attributed the growth to a global shift toward higher industrial readiness and munitions production.
The defense electronics firm is scaling production in Israel and international markets to meet high demand from Europe. This expansion aims to increase munitions output and reduce reliance on foreign suppliers.
The growth follows the Israeli Ministry of Finance's approval of a potential $14.7 billion defense budget increase. This budgetary expansion is expected to benefit major domestic contractors including Elbit Systems.
