Ford Motor Company named Dave Carroll as president of Ford Energy, effective August 31. Carroll previously served as CEO of ENGIE North America. He led significant growth in ENGIE’s renewables and storage platform.
Carroll will oversee all Ford Energy operations, including battery cell manufacturing and commercial strategy. He will report to Ford Vice Chair John Lawler.
Lisa Drake, a 32-year Ford veteran, announced her retirement following this leadership change. Drake was instrumental in industrializing Ford’s electric vehicle portfolio. She will remain through the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
The appointment of an external renewables leader signals a move to scale the energy business. Ford intends to transition the division from its launch phase into a larger, more impactful operation.
