Ford is recalling approximately 149,000 Mustang vehicles in the United States. The recall affects models from the 2024 through 2026 production years.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration identified faulty engine compartment wiring harness ground connections. These connections can fatigue and fracture, potentially causing a sudden loss of drive power while in motion.
The defect may also disable headlights and windshield washing systems, increasing the risk of a crash. Ford dealers will replace the faulty ground terminals at no cost to owners.
