Fermi Inc. signed a framework agreement with Hillcore Energy Capital for a 2.6-gigawatt power facility. The Hillcore Power Center will support the Project Matador AI campus in Texas. Hillcore will finance and build the project at no upfront cost to Fermi using a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer structure.

The facility includes 2.5 gigawatts of natural gas-fired power. The site adds 100 megawatts of solar generation with battery storage. This partnership doubles Fermi’s marketable power at the campus to 4.8 gigawatts.

Initial construction phases target 350 megawatts of delivery within 24 months. Fermi retains an option to purchase the facility after 10 years.
