GE Aerospace CEO Larry Culp met with China’s National Development and Reform Commission in Beijing on Friday. The visit occurred as part of a U.S. business delegation.

Discussions involve a potential Chinese order for 200 Boeing jets. GE Aerospace would serve as the primary engine supplier for this agreement.

The company reaffirmed its long-term commitment to China’s civil aviation sector. GE Aerospace currently maintains approximately 8,500 engines in service across the country. It has nearly 4,600 additional engines on order.

The manufacturer plans to strengthen localized support for its more than 60 partner airlines in China.
