GE Aerospace signed a significant agreement with Venezuela to rebuild the nation’s deteriorating power grid. Interim President Delcy Rodriguez announced the deal following a meeting with company executives.

The partnership aims to eliminate severe electricity shortages and frequent blackouts. The contract outlines a capacity increase of 1,000 megawatts per day within the first two years.

Total generation capacity will increase by 5,000 megawatts within four years. This project expands GE’s footprint in Latin American critical infrastructure through a lucrative long-term contract.
