The National Center for Public Policy Research's Free Enterprise Project (FEP) will confront GE Vernova at its annual shareholder meeting. FEP submitted Proposal 4, titled “Sustainability ROI Audit.” The proposal questions the financial viability of GE Vernova’s sustainability initiatives and wind power division.

FEP claims the wind turbine business is losing money. The group expects these losses to continue for the foreseeable future. The proposal argues GE Vernova adopted sustainability goals without traditional return-on-investment calculations.

FEP urges management to reconsider its strategy. The group cites the unprofitability and subsidy dependence of wind technology.
