GE Vernova Inc. (GEV) will supply power conversion, control, and integration technology for the third stage of Quinbrook’s Supernode battery project in Queensland, Australia. This agreement expands the company’s involvement across all three stages of the development.
The third stage adds 260 megawatts and 1,216 megawatt-hours of four-hour storage capacity. Upon completion, the total project will reach a capacity of 780 MW and 3,075 MWh.
This marks GE Vernova’s first grid-forming battery energy storage project in Australia. The company booked the order for this third stage in the first quarter of 2026.
GE Vernova shares rose nearly 2% in premarket trading on Friday following the announcement.
