GE Vernova signed a memorandum with Ukrainian energy holding DTEK at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026. The agreement establishes a framework to construct a 650 MW combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant.
The facility will be located at DTEK’s Burshtyn site in western Ukraine. This project supports DTEK’s strategy to transition from coal to lower-carbon gas power.
GE Vernova will provide advanced gas turbine technologies and equipment supply. The company is also exploring potential financing options for the plant.
Ukrainian officials stated these investments are critical for restoring power generation capacity following attacks on the energy sector. The project aims to improve national grid resilience.
