Gold Fields Ltd. reported an 81% surge in first-half 2026 profit. Total profit reached $1.86 billion. Gold production increased 12% during this period. Higher gold prices also contributed to the earnings growth. Adjusted free cash flow more than doubled to $2.23 billion, bolstered by the Salares Norte mine.
The board declared an interim dividend of 1,625 SA cents per share. This payout represents a 132% increase year-over-year. The company allocated an additional $500 million to its shareholder returns program. Total shareholder returns now stand at $1.25 billion. Gold Fields completed $300 million in share buybacks between March and July 2026.
