The United Auto Workers (UAW) reached a tentative agreement with supplier Dauch Corp., ending a 10-day strike. Nearly 1,000 workers at the Three Rivers, Michigan, facility walked off the job on June 1. The plant produces essential axles for the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.

The resolution prevents a shutdown of General Motors' profitable pickup truck assembly plants. GM maintained limited inventory of these components during the walkout. While production continued uninterrupted, a prolonged strike threatened significant manufacturing disruptions.

The proposed contract includes wage increases and enhanced benefits for union members. The deal remains subject to a ratification vote by the workforce.
