Alphabet considers introducing advertisements to its AI chatbot, Gemini. Google Chief Business Officer Philipp Schindler disclosed the potential move during a recent earnings call.

The company currently focuses on AI-powered ads within traditional search. Schindler noted that successful formats could transfer to the standalone Gemini application.

Gemini's current monetization relies on free tiers and paid subscriptions. Alphabet plans no immediate changes to this strategy.

Schindler stated that ads help scale products to billions of users. The company will share future Gemini advertising plans at a later date.
