Alphabet’s Google will invest at least €13 billion in Finnish artificial intelligence infrastructure during 2027 and 2028. This commitment represents the company's largest single investment in Europe to date.
Funds will expand existing data centers in Hamina and build new facilities in Kajaani, Muhos, and Vaala. The infrastructure will power core services such as Gemini, Search, and Maps.
The project includes electricity grid improvements and clean energy initiatives. Construction is expected to contribute €3.6 billion to Finland’s GDP and support thousands of jobs.
