Google started developing a $15 billion AI data center hub in Visakhapatnam, India. The foundation stone-laying ceremony will take place on April 28, 2026.

This project represents Google’s largest investment in India to date. It ranks as one of the country's largest single foreign direct investment projects.

The facility will feature a planned capacity of 1 gigawatt. This hub anchors Google’s first major AI-driven data center campus in the nation.

The project will create high-value jobs in data science, cybersecurity, and AI. These roles aim to drive regional economic transformation and strengthen the digital ecosystem.

Construction is scheduled for completion by July 2028.
