Google is integrating an AI image generator directly into search results to mark the 25th anniversary of Image Search. Users can create images from text prompts within the AI Overviews section when standard results are insufficient. DeepMind’s Nano Banana model powers the new generation tool.
The Google Images homepage is also transitioning to a personalized, dynamic gallery interface. This redesign resembles Pinterest and updates in real-time based on specific user interests. The update includes enhanced tools for saving and organizing images into collections.
Google will begin rolling out both features to U.S. users in English over the coming weeks.
