Google is internally testing a new AI agent codenamed Remy within a staff-only version of its Gemini application.

The tool functions as a 24/7 personal agent designed to take actions on a user's behalf. This capability moves the software beyond simply answering questions or generating content.

Remy integrates with the Google service ecosystem to proactively handle complex tasks. The agent also learns specific user preferences over time.

Google is currently in the dogfooding phase of internal testing. No public release timeline has been established for the project.
