Google Cloud and Nokia expanded their partnership, embedding Google's Gemini AI models into Nokia's network software suite. This collaboration aims to help telecommunication providers automate operations, reduce costs, and resolve network issues more quickly. Specialized AI agents will analyze complex data and manage network functions.

Nokia will introduce six Gemini-built AI agents into its Assurance Center platform. These agents will identify faults and recommend solutions. This integration is projected to reduce network problem-solving times by 50% to 80%. The system assists human engineers and maintains human oversight for critical decisions.

Initial AI agents are already functional. A broader software-as-a-service (SaaS) launch is planned on the Google Cloud Marketplace for September 2026. Further capabilities will roll out through late 2026 and into 2027.
