Google has enhanced its Vids application with two major AI-powered updates. The platform now integrates the Gemini Omni model, enabling users to generate and edit high-quality video clips from simple text prompts and reference images. This update also introduces personalized AI avatars. Users can create a digital likeness of themselves from a selfie and a short voice recording to narrate videos, removing the need to be on camera for new recordings. These new tools are available to Google AI Pro, Ultra, and Workspace business subscribers and intensify Google's competition with Adobe and Microsoft in the creative and productivity software markets. All AI-generated content will include an invisible digital watermark for transparency.
