The company’s market capitalization reached N4.57 trillion by mid-year. This valuation rose from N3.3 trillion at the end of 2025. The group’s share price achieved a 37.8 percent year-to-date appreciation.

GTCO reported a profit before tax of N302.9 billion for the first quarter of 2026. Growth in interest and fee income primarily drove these earnings. The Central Bank of Nigeria’s recapitalization program bolstered investor confidence across the banking sector.

GTCO expanded its loan book and customer deposits during this period. The company also paid a total dividend of N10 per share for the 2025 financial year.
