Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) partnered with Adani Defence Systems and Technologies and Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML). These firms will manufacture fuselage aerostructures for the Prachand Light Combat Helicopter (LCH).
The collaboration supports a total order of 156 helicopters for the Indian Air Force and Army. Adani Defence will produce 42 fuselage structures. BEML will be responsible for 48 units.
This marks the first time HAL has integrated private industry into its helicopter fuselage production. The partnership aims to expand domestic aerospace capacity and ensure timely delivery. Scheduled deliveries will begin in 2028.
