Honda Motor Co. signed a memorandum of understanding with LG Energy Solution and Hanoi to develop a Vietnamese electric motorcycle business.
The collaboration establishes a battery swapping network.
Partners will install approximately 50 swapping stations in Hanoi.
A test fleet of 500 electric motorcycles will deploy.
The initiative launches in the third quarter.
This project supports Vietnam's plan to ban fossil-fuel motorbikes in the capital to combat air pollution.
