Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev plans to provide retail investors with sophisticated AI-powered trading tools. These capabilities were previously restricted to institutional firms.
Tenev envisions agentic trading where AI systems perform the same tasks as human traders. These AI agents will research investments, execute trades, and manage portfolios.
This vision builds on features the company began rolling out in May 2026. Users can currently authorize AI agents to trade equities on their behalf within dedicated accounts.
The project aims to give everyday investors access to automated capabilities used by large financial institutions.
