Analysts lowered Hut 8’s 2026 fiscal year revenue consensus by 12%. The forecast fell from approximately $330 million to $292 million following the company’s August earnings report.
Hut 8 reported Q2 revenue of $74.9 million, missing the $79 million consensus estimate. The company posted a net loss of $177.1 million. A $138.6 million unrealized loss on digital asset holdings drove the wider-than-expected deficit.
Hut 8 shares fell 24% during the week of the forecast revision. Analysts remain optimistic about the company’s pivot to AI and high-performance computing infrastructure. Significant revenue from these ventures is not expected until 2027.
