ImmunityBio appointed Dr. Jim Yong Kim as Vice Chairman. Dr. Kim served as the twelfth president of the World Bank Group from 2012 to 2019.
He will focus on strengthening international relationships with governments, health ministries, and global health partners. Dr. Kim joins the newly created Office of the Executive Chairman and reports to founder Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong.
The role aims to advance scientific programs and expand access to immunotherapy platforms in markets outside the United States. Dr. Kim also co-founded Partners In Health and previously led the World Health Organization’s HIV/AIDS department.
