William Von Mueffling's Cantillon Capital Management drastically reduced its stake in Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) by 95.4% during the second quarter of 2026. The firm sold an estimated $345.5 million worth of shares, cutting its holding from 2.94 million shares down to just 135,470. This long-held position was first established in late 2014.
The move was revealed in a quarterly 13F filing, which discloses positions held as of June 30, 2026, and was made public on July 29. During the same quarter, Intercontinental Exchange reported a 5% year-over-year increase in net revenues to $2.7 billion and announced a major $5.7 billion acquisition of MarketAxess. Cantillon's remaining stake in ICE was valued at $16.68 million at the end of the period.
