Infineon Technologies AG has acquired C2i Semiconductors, a Bangalore-based firm specializing in AI data center power components. C2i develops software-defined multiphase controllers and smart power stages. The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.

The acquisition adds intelligent and scalable power delivery architectures to Infineon’s semiconductor portfolio. Adam White, president of Infineon’s power systems division, stated the move establishes a new digital power center of excellence in India. The deal aims to strengthen the company’s leadership in the AI data center market.

The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of the current year.
