Incyte Corporation and Halozyme Therapeutics formed a global collaboration and license agreement. They will develop a subcutaneous formulation for Incyte's cancer drug candidate, INCA033989. The partnership will use Halozyme's proprietary ENHANZE® drug delivery technology. This aims to offer more convenient dosing for patients with certain myeloproliferative neoplasms, a type of blood cancer.
Halozyme will receive an upfront payment under the agreement. It is also eligible for future milestone payments and royalties on net sales of commercialized products using the technology. Incyte also gains the option to nominate up to two additional therapeutic targets for development with the ENHANZE® platform.
