Intel Foundry completed the Rapid Assured Microelectronics Prototypes - Commercial (RAMP-C) program with the U.S. Department of Defense. Launched in 2021, the initiative established a trusted domestic ecosystem for manufacturing leading-edge defense semiconductors.
The program's conclusion moves defense customers from prototyping to production readiness on Intel’s advanced 18A process technology. This achievement provides a direct stepping stone for the Secure Enclave program.
Secure Enclave will focus on high-volume, secure manufacturing of advanced microelectronics for the U.S. government. The successful transition bolsters the domestic supply chain and reinforces U.S. leadership in semiconductor production.
