Dutch quantum processor firm QuantWare raised $178 million (€152 million) in a Series B funding round. Intel Capital and In-Q-Tel, the strategic investment arm for U.S. intelligence, participated in the financing. The investment represents one of the largest funding rounds for a European quantum startup.
QuantWare will use the capital to construct KiloFab, the world’s largest dedicated open-architecture quantum fabrication facility. The new factory will increase the company's production capacity by twentyfold. This expansion aims to meet growing demand for superconducting quantum processing units (QPUs) and resolve industry bottlenecks in scalable hardware manufacturing.
