KBR Secures $1.12B NOAA Contract, Expanding National Weather Data Networks

KBR secured a single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The agreement holds a potential value of $1.12 billion. This contract carries a five-year performance period.

KBR will support the National Weather Service's National Mesonet Program. The company will procure meteorological data from non-federal networks to enhance national observing capabilities.

The scope includes data from weather stations, radar, aircraft, and marine observation networks. These datasets are critical for NOAA's weather forecasting mission.
