Kumba Iron Ore reported a 3% decrease in total production for the six months ended June 30, 2026. Weak performance at the Kolomela mine drove the decline. Solid operations at the Sishen mine partially offset these losses. Sales volumes for the period fell by 1%.
The company achieved an average realized price of US$90 per wet metric tonne. This figure is 8% above the benchmark iron ore price. High product quality and a recovery in the lump premium supported the realized price.
Kumba maintained its full-year production and sales guidance.
