A KKR-led consortium including Dragoneer Investment Group and Amwins Group signed a binding agreement to acquire Steadfast Group. The deal values the Australian insurance firm at approximately A$7.7 billion. This valuation equates to roughly US$5.5 billion.

Shareholders will receive A$6.00 per share. This price represents a 51.9% premium over previous levels. The premium is calculated against the stock price on June 9, 2026, before the initial proposal announcement.

Amwins will acquire the company’s underwriting agency business. The investor group will retain ownership of the broking operations.

The Steadfast board unanimously recommended that shareholders approve the deal. The parties expect to finalize the acquisition in mid-to-late December 2026.
