Kopin Corporation achieved three milestones in its color MicroLED development program for the U.S. Army. The company demonstrated a single-panel, full-color brightness exceeding 150,000 nits, surpassing the program's performance target.
This advancement supports the development of next-generation vision systems for ground soldiers. Kopin is currently installing new MicroLED bonding equipment at its domestic facility to integrate the technology.
These achievements establish a foundation for U.S.-based MicroLED manufacturing capability. Kopin expects to begin product manufacturing in mid-2027.
