Lucid Group is recalling 27,185 Air electric sedans from model years 2022 through 2026. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) identified a software flaw that causes exterior lighting circuits to overheat. This defect creates a potential fire risk.

The NHTSA advises owners to park their vehicles outside and away from structures until the issue is resolved. Lucid is addressing the recall through a free over-the-air (OTA) software update.

Approximately 20,719 affected vehicles have already installed the necessary software. This represents the largest recall in the company's history. The total number of recalled units exceeds the number of vehicles Lucid delivered in 2025.
