L3Harris Technologies, in partnership with the Department of War and Lockheed Martin, has signed a seven-year framework agreement to quadruple production for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile system's propulsion. The deal, expected to be finalized later this year, is poised to be L3Harris's largest THAAD propulsion award to date.

Under the agreement, L3Harris will significantly increase the output of two critical components: the Solid Rocket Boost Motors and the Liquid Divert and Attitude Control Systems (LDACS). This production ramp-up is part of a broader Department of War strategy to accelerate the delivery of crucial munitions and strengthen the domestic defense industrial base. L3Harris is expanding its manufacturing capacity with new and upgraded facilities to meet the increased demand.
