Li Auto is investing 2.65 billion yuan (approximately $395 million) in Sunwoda Electric Vehicle Battery Co. (SEVB). This investment provides Li Auto with a direct 8.79% stake in the Sunwoda Electronic subsidiary.
Li Auto now ranks as the second-largest shareholder. Its total indirect stake reaches 11.17% when including holdings by related entities.
The move aims to strengthen Li Auto’s battery supply chain. Both companies will deepen collaboration on technology development and manufacturing through this long-term partnership.
A Li Auto affiliate previously invested 400 million yuan in the company in 2022. The partners also established a battery production joint venture in 2025.
