Eli Lilly reported positive Phase 3 BRUIN CLL-322 trial results for its cancer drug Jaypirca (pirtobrutinib).
Adding Jaypirca to a standard regimen of venetoclax and rituximab reduced the risk of disease progression or death by 45%. The study evaluated patients with previously treated chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL).
The trial successfully met its primary endpoint of progression-free survival. Results were consistent across key patient subgroups, including those previously treated with other BTK inhibitors.
The safety profile of the three-drug combination aligned with the known profiles of each individual medicine. Lilly presented these findings at the 2026 European Hematology Association Annual Meeting.
The company plans to submit the data to global regulators to seek a potential label expansion.
