Eli Lilly partnered with Chinese drugmaker Haisco Pharmaceutical to develop innovative medicines across multiple therapeutic areas. The collaboration focuses on up to five early-stage drug programs.
The deal carries a potential total value exceeding $3 billion. Haisco receives $87 million in upfront and near-term payments. Future milestone payments could reach $2.97 billion, supplemented by tiered royalties on sales.
Haisco will manage the discovery phase for the five target programs. Eli Lilly will lead subsequent clinical trials and commercialization efforts.
Eli Lilly gains exclusive worldwide rights for specific programs. Haisco retains rights within Greater China for other selected programs.
