Eli Lilly and Company reported Phase 1 data for its investigational type II JAK2 inhibitor at the 2026 European Hematology Association (EHA) Annual Meeting. The AJX-101 study demonstrated clinical activity and a favorable safety profile in myelofibrosis patients.

This first-in-class drug targets patients who previously failed type I JAK2 inhibitor treatments. It selectively binds to a different conformation of the JAK2 kinase to bypass existing therapy resistance.

Early findings showed meaningful reductions in spleen size. Patients also reported significant symptom improvement during the trial.
