Cheniere Cleared for Final Corpus Christi Train, Boosting US Export Capacity

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) authorized Cheniere Energy (LNG) to introduce feed gas into Train 7 at its Corpus Christi Stage 3 project in Texas. This approval marks a critical commissioning step for the final liquefaction train of the expansion phase.

The Stage 3 project adds more than 10 million metric tons of annual LNG export capacity. This milestone moves the largest U.S. LNG exporter closer to bringing the full project online.

The expansion will significantly increase total facility output and national export capabilities. These developments address growing global demand for the fuel.
