Cheniere Energy is entering the final commissioning stages for the seventh liquefaction train at its Corpus Christi Stage 3 project. The company received regulatory approval to introduce feedgas in early August 2026. Management confirmed that first LNG production from the final train is now imminent.

The Stage 3 expansion consists of seven midscale trains designed to add over 10 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of production capacity. This project brings the facility's total permitted capacity to more than 25 mtpa.

Cheniere reached substantial completion for Train 6 in June 2026. The company expects to finish Train 7 by the end of 2026. This timeline concludes the major expansion ahead of the original schedule.
