Lightbridge Corporation and Quadrant Nuclear Industries Inc. (QNI) signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding for the long-term supply of high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU).
The agreement centers on the potential offtake of HALEU from QNI’s planned Vanguard facility at Idaho National Laboratory. This facility is designed to produce up to 18 metric tons of HALEU annually to meet commercial and government demand.
This collaboration supports the commercialization of Lightbridge Fuel™ and aims to strengthen the domestic nuclear fuel supply chain. While the MOU does not yet set specific pricing or quantities, it establishes a framework for a definitive commercial agreement.
