Mastercard has finalized its acquisition of BVNK, a digital asset and stablecoin infrastructure provider. The transaction is valued at up to $1.8 billion. This deal follows the initial acquisition announcement from March 2026.
The integration of BVNK technology enables Mastercard to process payments across both traditional fiat currencies and digital assets. The company will use these tools to support stablecoins and tokenized assets for various financial applications.
Key focus areas include improving efficiency for cross-border B2B payments and international payouts. Mastercard also intends to optimize treasury operations by reducing traditional speed and cost barriers.
