Medtronic entered a strategic partnership with Cornerstone Robotics through an investment of approximately $700 million.
The agreement provides Medtronic with distribution rights for the Sentire surgical system in Europe, China, and Singapore. The Sentire system will complement Medtronic’s Hugo robotic-assisted surgery platform to offer broader choices to surgeons and health systems.
This collaboration strengthens Medtronic’s position in the soft tissue robotics market. The initiative aims to increase adoption of minimally invasive care in a global segment that currently has single-digit penetration.
