HTC launched Vive Eagle smart glasses in North America, Europe, the UK, and Australia for $499. This screenless wearable competes directly with Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses at a higher price point.
Users can choose between Google Gemini or OpenAI ChatGPT as the integrated voice assistant. The hardware features a 12MP ultrawide camera and 32GB of local storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 chip powers the device.
HTC emphasizes a privacy-first design using encrypted on-device storage and de-identified AI requests. A prominent LED light indicates when the camera is active. Shipments begin immediately in North America and on September 21 in the UK and Europe.
