Meta Vice President of Product Management Emily Dalton Smith is leaving the company. Smith led the AI for work transformation project for only two months before her departure. She was responsible for consolidating internal AI tools and managing Metamate, Meta's internal enterprise AI assistant.
The exit occurs as Meta reassigns thousands of employees to AI-focused roles. Smith joined the company in 2015 and will remain for a transitional period to assist CTO Andrew Bosworth. Meta has not yet named a successor for the position.
