Meta is constructing portions of its new AI data centers using large, tent-like structures. These rapid deployment structures consist of weatherproof fabric supported by aluminum frames. Traditional data center construction typically requires 18 to 24 months to complete. Meta's strategy mirrors a 2018 Tesla tactic used to accelerate vehicle production. This approach allows the company to bring massive computing power online faster to remain competitive. The project belongs to a multi-billion dollar investment in the world's largest AI supercomputers.
