The meeting included a brief encounter with the Pope and a discussion at the French embassy. Silicon Valley aims to shape "Magnifica Humanitas," the official Catholic position on AI.

The document will address technology's impact on human dignity, labor, and peace. The Vatican previously established the "Rome Call for AI Ethics" in 2020.

Pope Leo XIV will present the encyclical on May 25. Anthropic co-founder Christopher Olah will join the presentation.
